Clearing-agent systems
The TAFFA/TACAS programme described by CapitalPay for freight-forwarding administration.
What the project covers
CapitalPay identifies TAFFA/TACAS in its Tanzania programme description. It describes a compliance-certificate process for the clearing and forwarding sector and integration with the Tanzania Revenue Authority.
For an agent, the important questions concern the service being provided, who administers each step, how a payment is matched and where an exception is resolved. Clear participation instructions and a published fee schedule would make the programme easier to understand.
Next progress update
What to look for next
An operator or association update setting out participation, the applicable fee schedule and authority, support contacts and the documented rollout stage.
